I find it quite interesting that the last period accurate/live action non-musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol for cinemas is still the Sim one from the 1950s.
Two separate ‘A CHRISTMAS CAROL’ films are in the works. • Directed by Robert Eggers, starring Willem Dafoe • Directed by Ti West, starring Johnny Depp

Someone needs to ask Ruth Wilson about her Time Commanders memories and what is her favourite Total War game.
Time Commanders, the historical battle re-enactment series using the Rome: Total War engine, puts a team of students on Pompey's side against Caesar today in 2003. One of them is Ruth Wilson, later of Jane Eyre, Luther, The Affair and His Dark Materials.

Arkasha Stevenson did a great job on The First Omen if she was interested in an installment of another 1970s Fox franchise.
Fede Alvarez says he will not direct the sequel for ‘ALIEN: ROMULUS’ “We love the story, and now we just want to find a director that really wants to go for the jugular” (Source: https://t.co/czSBsBuMgN)

That's just a visual representation of how much Downey Jnr is getting paid compared to everyone else on set.

This has to be a joke, right? The cinema with the worst projection standards I’ve ever seen that renders onscreen text unreadable, projected on warped screens, that barely shows smaller films, and has a gents toilets that has smelled like a zoo for the past couple of years?

Quite funny that they are framing this around Weapons, a mid budget movie no one was counting on being a big hit.
#Weapons is a box office hit. But movie theaters are now bracing for a bleaker three months. “There’s not a gigantic tentpole in the next six weeks,” says one theater owner. “But it’s our job to remind folks that just because ‘Avatar 3’ doesn’t come out until December doesn’t

The meta joke of Nesson delivering a script designed for an actor 30 years younger than he is and more in line with the age Drebin Jnr should be, including a much younger partner and extended scenes about 90s/early 00s pop culture.

The decline in international interest in these sorts of films is really notable now. I'm sure some will still land, but there's a real trend now.
For those keeping track... of DC VS MARVEL: DOMESTIC DEBUT: SUPERMAN ($125M) FANTASTIC 4: FS ($118M) WORLDWIDE DEBUT: SUPERMAN ($220M) FANTASTIC 4: FS ($218M)

Interesting interview, but I don't think the issue was only "too much stuff" but also for a lot of folks the story wrapped up in Endgame.
A packed Marvel story: Kevin Feige talks about how the company made too many movies & TV shows, the depressed THUNDERBOLTS box office, how you won't soon see Miles Morales in live-action (blame Sony), and how he has 2 years left on his Marvel contract.

At this rate, it's going to be half a century before it's done.
ScotGov appears to have kicked council tax reform into the 2030s…after Ivan McKee said on the radio that there was “absolutely a need” for a revaluation, govt says it’s not happening and any big reform will need an electoral mandate (in 2031, after five more years of debate)
