I don’t think it was supposed to happen like this! LAPD detonated those illegal fireworks on scene and the explosion seriously damaged the bomb squad truck took out several nearby cars! People inside a home may be injured as well 😰

Shocking new detail on today’s fireworks detonation gone awry: LAPD thinks the top of that armored container device flew TWO BLOCKS to the East, smashing part of a roof before hitting the dirt. The top of that device reportedly weights as much as one TON (center of pic)

Last night I stumbled on to the Big Bear Bald eagle nest cam on YouTube and I kind of can’t stop watching lol…at first I felt so sad watching this bird keeping their eggs warm in a blizzard but then I read that Eagles are incredibly well adapted to extreme cold! So majestic 😌🦅

It may be the worst backup I’ve ever seen in all my years of covering traffic…30+ miles and only now beginning to improve. Part of the issue is traffic really struggles to recover when you have steep topography. Wonder how many collective hours of life were lost to this.

A small plane made a successful emergency landing on the 101 freeway in Westlake😲 unclear what prompted it but hats off to the pilot who stuck it perfectly on the Eastbound lanes near Lindero Canyon. The fire department just pushed it off to Reyes Adobe. No injuries!

No they were planning to detonate these on scene. We saw what appeared to be detonation lines hooked up to that big armored device. When I was dispatched I was told they were preparing to set them off.

End of an extremely dangerous pursuit in Pomona off the 10 freeway. CHP responded to a huge street racing incident and singled out this Dodge Charger, which crashed into 1 car and kept going. FLEW down the 60 and 57 up to 140 miles an hour! Car eventually conked out, 2 in custody
