Wouldn’t be the first time this administration sweeps inappropriate and unprofessional behavior under the rug. Seems to be the theme.
Seems the 5th Floor pled the 5th. The Mayor’s Office’s lack of cooperation in this investigation and rejection of @ChicagoOIG recommendations is demoralizing and disregards the transparency and accountability Chicagoans deserve.

For this week’s newsletter, we collaborated with public safety champions at @ChiSpectator. Bottom line: With CPD already stretched thin, even modest reductions may ripple through neighborhoods least able to absorb them. Full article linked below.

It was a fiery start to the meeting, followed by four long hours of public comment, but in the end, the desired outcome was achieved.
BREAKING: Chicago's school board PASSED the district's $10.2 billion budget on a 12-to-7 vote. That budget does NOT include high-cost borrowing & will only make a controversial pension payment to the city if the district gets unexpected revenue.

The FY 25-26 CPS Budget is more than numbers — it’s a bold investment in our classrooms, our teachers, & most importantly, our children’s futures as it protects our school & classroom budgets. “Strong communities need strong schools. This plan starts with a long-term investment.”
