Seems the 5th Floor pled the 5th. The Mayor’s Office’s lack of cooperation in this investigation and rejection of @ChicagoOIG recommendations is demoralizing and disregards the transparency and accountability Chicagoans deserve.

📢 Opportunity to participate in a public safety survey: In July, a majority of voters on the CCPSA voted to support new PROHIBITIONS on CPD's ability to conduct certain traffic stops. This is NOT the final vote and the Commission has requested additional public input.

BREAKING: Chicago's school board PASSED the district's $10.2 billion budget on a 12-to-7 vote. That budget does NOT include high-cost borrowing & will only make a controversial pension payment to the city if the district gets unexpected revenue.

Look at the top 10 most violent neighborhoods for 2024 and 2025 (so far) A rate of 177 homicides per 100,000 residents is ASTRONOMICAL. The citywide rate in 2024 was around 22.42 per 100,000. Chicago really is a tale of two cities and there's a large portion that sees

The FY 25-26 CPS Budget is more than numbers — it’s a bold investment in our classrooms, our teachers, & most importantly, our children’s futures as it protects our school & classroom budgets. “Strong communities need strong schools. This plan starts with a long-term investment.”
