ChatGPT how to get from Roppongi Hills to Ueno Zoo. Bard was slightly more helpful but created a station for a train line that doesn't exist. ChatGPT suggested I take an unnecessary extra train ride, and got its ETAs wrong. Promising but hilarious!

Hello Don! I'm a PM on Google Drive search. Would love to hear from you what's frustrating you. Drive search is extremely powerful (and much more complicated than Google Web Search, since we have to search across private and shared stuff) but I realize we can do better.

I take a similar (but more forward-looking) approach by asking how do I put myself out of a job. Scaling my work by teaching others, documenting tirelessly, putting important cultural shifts in place. Then someday I realize I can focus my attention on what I alone can do.

Used to think my PM superpower was to get things done, as

said, PM with "high agency". But I've learned an even more basic skill: the Last Mile. Going from "almost launched" to "fully landed" is an underrated skill. I see PMs often want to delegate the task of launching.

1/ Weather is a finicky beast; getting predictions right is tricky and I've had rotten luck. NWS has some great links though; just remember that Chicago Midway weather is coded as LOT, not KMDW.

7) And as a reminder, Drive search is crazy complicated, more so than Google Web or Gmail. It's because we have both a public index (search files shared with you) and private index. We need to quickly search across both and the rerank them. Like a personalized Google Web search.

9 of the 10 bento boxes I've gotten in my 3 day quarantine in Tokyo. Given I haven't paid a penny for any of this I think it was kind of an interesting experience. A bit tired of the formula though: I'd go nuts if I had to do 10 days of this.

7/ Read the fine print and do your research. Each market comes with a set of rules that you need to be very familiar with. I think what's fun about Kalshi is that somewhere, at some point, the market has figured out the answer. It's just where you join on the journey.

With a longer time-horizon though, if Q2 isn't a negative GDP quarter then it seems quite possible Q3 or Q4 might be (and if both are, that's another opportunity for a recession). I'd argue negative GDP is a sign that the economy is cooling as it should.

One of the things I appear to have taken for granted at Google is that while no one requires this everyone does keep their cameras on for their meetings. It feels a lot more sincere. I'd rather decline a meeting than be in one sans camera.
