3. Calgary has scored 10 goals in 5 games. They have to work incredibly hard for their goals. Nothing comes easy for this team. 4. It's been a rough start to the season for Joel Hanley. The Flames have been outscored 6-0 with #44 on the ice at 5v5. 5. Kevin Bahl has been great.

#Flames Post Game Thoughts 1. Unreal performance by Devin Cooley. His career was on the line tonight and he stepped up and single handedly kept the Flames in this game. 2. The penalty kill was fantastic going 6-6 against a highly skilled first PP unit for Utah.

Zayne Parekh struggled tonight. But it's his second game of the season. The third of his career. He's 19. Give him time to get used to the NHL game. I remember it took Johnny Gaudreau a solid 10 weeks before he started to break out. I see the same thing happening for Zayne.

3. That was the best the Backlund line has looked this year. 4. Miromanov should not see NHL ice again this season. I don't know why the Flames put him in the lineup 5. Sam Honzek has been way better than I expected he would be. I wonder if he will stick around when 10 is back.

#Flames Post Game Thoughts 1. The Flames went toe to toe with the best team in the Pacific Division but Vegas' elite talent put them over the top. 2. Kadri and Andersson missing those chances at the end of the 2nd was the difference in a game where Calgary didn't create much.
