My Favourite #Flames Goals. The 2018 home opener. The game is tied late in the 3rd period. Monahan, Tkachuk, Gaudreau and Lindholm connect for a beautiful power play goal to put Calgary up by one. This kicked off what I thought was going to be an incredible era of Flames hockey

My Favourite #Flames Goals . Johnny Gaudreau's hat trick goal in overtime against the Boston Bruins is probably the hardest I've cheered for a regular season Flames goal. It was so exciting to have an electrifying player like Gaudreau on on the Flames for all those years.

The 7 biggest one hit wonder seasons in #Flames history: Dennis Wideman (14-15). Wideman stepped up and became a key contributor on a Calgary Flames team that ended up in round 2 of the playoffs. He put up a career high 56 points. This was by far his best season in Calgary.

The 7 biggest one hit wonder seasons in #Flames history: Mike Cammalleri (08-09). Cammalleri's 2008-09 campaign was one of the most productive in modern Flames history. His 82 points is tied for 9th for the most points by a Calgary Flame in a single season since the 05 lockout.

Seven Calgary Flames have scored 35 goals or more in a season since the 04-05 lockout. Jarome Iginla x5.Johnny Gaudreau x2.Mike Cammalleri x1.Matthew Tkachuk x1.Elias Lindholm x1 .Andrew Mangiapane x1 .Nazem Kadri x1. Just goes to show how good Mangiapane was in 2021-22.
The 7 biggest one hit wonder seasons in #Flames history: Andrew Mangiapane (21-22). Mang was a good Flame for a long time. But his 2021-22 season was exceptional. His 35 goals and 55 points were both career highs. He was never able to replicate that type of success in Calgary.

The 7 biggest one hit wonder seasons in #Flames history: Joe Colborne (15-16). Colborne put up 19 goals and 25 assists. That was his career high in goals, assists and points in a single season. It was cool to see a Calgary kid have success with his hometown team.

The 7 biggest one hit wonder seasons in #Flames history: Jiri Hudler (14/15). Hudler was good during his time as a Flame. But he was great in 2014/15. He put up 76 points in 78 games and was a driving force in getting the Flames in the 2015 playoffs. He also won the Lady Bing.

Brian Burke said in his book that the Flames leadership group influenced Glen Gulutzan to start Brian Elliott for game 4 of this series despite the fact Elliott was clearly struggling. Burke said the players influencing Gulutzan too much was the main reason he was let go in 2018
The answer to last weeks Name That Flame was the infamous Brian Elliott. Elliott only played one season in Calgary. He is most known for tying a franchise record with 11 wins in a row and his substandard performance in the 2017 playoffs against the Anaheim Ducks.

The 7 biggest one hit wonder seasons in #Flames history: Josh Jooris (14/15). Jooris came out of nowhere. He stepped into the Flames lineup in 2014 and put up 12 goals and 12 assists in only 60 games. He scored 11 goals and 20 assists combined over his next 4 seasons in the NHL.
