Ppl have most definitely just straight up forgotten what filler is. You absolutely do not need to watch Naruto's filler to understand the story. NONE of it is present in the manga.
A dislike of filler is a weak minded attitude. Enjoy spending time living in a world with its characters and stop treating shows like a narrative checklist.
