It is not fair that parents, who might otherwise not do so, should feel pressure to baptize their children in order to gain admission to their local school. That is why I am proposing to remove the role that religion plays in school admissions in virtually all primary schools

SF is not comparing like with like. The Council direct build in DCC & Fingal have zero cost attributed to land & are additionally distorted by Priory Hall which was only a refurbishment. These are not comparable to a purchase where full costs must be paid

This claim by @RichardbrutonTD is untrue. I released comprehensive costings for direct delivery & turnkey social housing developments for all local authorities for 2018 & 2019 here: and Part V costings for 2016 to 2019 below.

SF’s ideology voting against the development of homes ignores the urgent need for housing in all categories such as Oscar Traynor Rd lands. However, nationally the implication is much worse, the potential of the LDA to develop mixed housing will be killed at birth.

Sinn Féin’s record on housing shows it would make any situation much much worse. For example, they voted against 850+ new homes being built on Oscar Traynor Road lands. @richardbrutonTD will debate Sinn Féin’s housing spokesperson at 5.35pm on @RTERadio1 .

Banning a range of single-use plastics, new fees on non-recyclable plastics, like on food packaging in supermarkets, and halving food waste will be vital to ensuring the Climate Action Plan succeeds. Hosting an important summit today about implementing the change

Plastic is one of the main causes of chronic ocean pollution. Tackling plastic waste and increasing the level of plastic recycling is a key priority of mine during my time as minister
