People who treat their music taste as the “correct” one aren’t just annoying, they’re bad for the scene. That mindset turns music into a hierarchy instead of a conversation, pushes out new listeners, and discourages artists from experimenting or even just fuckin having fun

You’re not “honest about music”. you’re honest about your own taste. Which is fine! But taste doesn’t equal fact. Declaring your opinion as the gospel truth just makes you another loud voice on the internet
when you’re honest about music you’re a “hater” but if you gargle the balls of an artist no matter what they do even when they suck shit, you’re an “influencer”
