I wanted to write an elegy to romance, something that evoked a strong feeling of nostalgia for simpler, purer times. Whilst recording this song I was constantly picturing the image of a disco ball spinning in an empty dance hall.

Maybe it’s old-fashioned of me to think that romance is dead. Perhaps the kind I’m thinking of never really existed beyond Hollywood in the first place, but looking for love doesn’t seem as fun as it used to be.

Corner Of The Sky was the last song to make the record, by which time I was searching for an album title. It seemed to sum up the concept of the record to me too, so I gave the album the same name. Thanks to all involved, I hope you enjoy it. Watch now! https://t.co/m9nYr5csHN
