Last month we met in Coventry for a busy but fulfilling weekend. Here's where we're at... 🗓️We are glad to be on track to share a first complete draft of the new book for Yearly Meeting 2027, with a finished draft for Yearly Meeting to agree for publication in 2030. 1/4

We have reviewed our progress in relation to our overall project plan that aims to offer a complete first full draft of the new book to Yearly Meeting 2027, and are pleased that we remain on track. 5/

Consideration on making our book accessible and inclusive continues: planning for accessible formats, showing when quotes are introduced, useful cross-referencing, and ensure sufficient inclusivity & diversity of Quaker voices across Britain are represented in the final version.

We have sent a minute to Meeting for Sufferings regarding changes to the marriage declaration suggested in this feedback that are beyond the remit of our Committee. 3/

We have spent time reviewing the responses from Friends to the draft texts of 2 topics for the new book (Marriage, and Nominations) that we had shared. We are grateful for what we have learned from this feedback which will now inform our work going forward. 2/

📜Two drafts of topics are being shared with Friends, after our report to Meeting for Sufferings in December; 🗓️We have agreed a timetable for our ongoing work, which will also form part of our report to Meeting for Sufferings.

👥We have set up groups to work on the following topics: conflict in Quaker communities, Quaker spiritual experience, membership, worship, and also a group to look at accessible formats for our content;

🌟We met last weekend in Leeds. Here's an UPDATE...🌟 🗒️We have reviewed and expanded our list of topics for the new book; ✍️Guidelines for those writing text for the new book have been agreed, based on our experiences on the journey to date;
