Again, we were told that the company was closing down. By the company, repeatedly. Even as we asked to be placed elsewhere, as we tried to negotiate exit items. So who is making posts on Reviewed's social accounts--who is updating these pieces? (5/5).

During the supposed closure, Gannett hired several members of management on to USA Today. Our unit members also applied to USA Today roles--none of them were hired. All our unit members' applications were denied. (2/?).

Gannett laid off the entire Reviewed staff on Nov 1, 2024. They said they were shutting down Reviewed. Since then, the site has remained active--posts have been updated with unit members' bylines attached, and today, seemingly, someone from Reviewed is attending CES.

It’s been 532 days since we received a raise. We’ve been clear that we support wage increases for our members—it’s not us, it’s Gannett. In addition to failing to increase compensation, management has refused to backfill roles, which means more work with less pay. 1/2

To increase our responsibilities without offering additional compensation shows an utter disconnect from the state of Reviewed’s workforce. Refusing to backfill roles as people leave means that our staff are already approaching burn out. We’ve had enough. 3/3

Trying to force unit members to take on extra work in addition to their regular responsibilities is unreasonable and disrespectful, especially in light of the stated fact that there is no plan to hire any new staff. 2/3
