The funeral yesterday had a mariachi band that played. It was so beautiful and emotional. The first time I've witnessed this, no I'm not ignorant, I just never experienced the tradition before.

Damn. I so f'ing felt this.
For a long time, I wrote for someone who didn't read me. I wasn't as special as I had hoped. It was a humbling experience and temporarily took away my love of writing. This time I will not dedicate my words in ways that will hurt later. A muse isn't needed for a poem to matter.
