I don’t think children should be given homework in elementary or middle school. And maybe not even high school. Kids need to have fun when they get home from school. It sets us up to have bad work boundaries.

I mentioned to one of my students (who keeps being deadnamed by religious family) that it’s actually fairly common for God to rename God’s children— Sarah and Abraham, Israel, Paul… and each one came as a blessing from God. So it’s actually dishonoring God to deadname someone.
