🏥 People in the lowest income bracket had 25% higher odds of asthma exacerbations (OR 1.25; 95% CI 1.14–1.38). 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 When stratified by age, the most deprived children (OR 1.38; 1.25–1.52) and adults (OR 1.20; 1.06–1.35) had greater odds of developing exacerbations.

Great to work with Dr Tayal on this piece of work. Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are associated with twice the increased risk of developing dilated cardiomyopathy on long term follow up.

Sex differences in in-hospital care exist in adults COPD, which may impact readmissions and mortality; however, little to no sex differences in in-hospital care were seen in people with asthma yet females were more likely to be readmitted to hospital.
