I see the term user testing & usability testing used interchangeably. I want to know what the differences are (if any) in your POV. Some people say user testing = will people use my product. I thought that was more like product-market fit, concept testing, discovery... #ux #UXR

Personas don’t work as generalizations; they need specific context. This is because personas aren’t meant for overall uses — they’re meant for ideation and designing solutions within a specific scope that your organization is concerned with this month or quarter.

@manriquechacin The cross-functional pairing approach makes a lot of sense, especially because it aligns with a "responsibility envelope" that's actually quite in line with the famous joke:

Memo to people sending out surveys: Maybe ask instead, “How likely are you to tell your real gut truth in this brain-dead, oversimplified reduction of complex thoughts and feelings that you must compress into a single number?"

its always one of those in orgs new to #uxresearch innit ?! 1)t's only X amount of people how can you conclude anything based off that? 2)I don't think that's what the user meant 3)we already knew that 4)this isn’t representative of our entire user segment

Thanks all for the great tips. Even though the topic isn’t a sensitive one I’m somehow more exhausted than usual. I found people to be very adjusted to Zoom as opposed to sessions I’ve done 3 months ago. Also people were friendly & open. Now we do it all over again tomorrow !
