#OnThisDay in 1960, Ruby Bridges, Leona Tate, Tessie Prevost, and Gail Etienne desegregated the public school system in New Orleans. While Bridges enrolled at William Frantz Elementary School, Tate, Prevost, and Etienne enrolled at McDonogh 19 Elementary School.
