END FIRST HALF: Reading 7, NDA 3 The No. 4 seed in Div. 2 takes a four-goal lead into the third against No. 1 NDA. The third period will resume in less than 5 minutes with a trip to the state championship on the line. @sports_ledger

4 minutes to go in period 2, Reading leads 6-3. NDA received a goal from Taylor Watts to get within 2 but Reading gets it back at the 4:30 mark. Only two goals scored through 8 minutes in the period so far.

END THE PERIOD 1: Reading 5, NDA 2 NDA misses a chance to get a goal back with just 11 seconds remaining in the first. Reading gets a late-period goal from Molly Trajan to extend the lead heading into the 2nd.

Reading has opened up a 4-2 lead with 4 minutes remaining in the first period, with goals coming from Quinn Donahue and Megan Shanahan.

4 minutes into the first quarter of this state semifinal, it’s 2-2. Reading took a 2-1 lead with 2 goals coming less than 45 seconds apart, but NDA’s Sadie Lopez just scored the equalizer.

At Victory Field in Watertown this evening with @sports_ledger coverage as top-seeded Notre Dame Academy takes on No. 4 Reading Memorial in the MIAA D2 girls lacrosse final four. NDA’s Ani Woodard just scored the first goal of the game at 10:47.

FINAL: Silver Lake 7, Middleboro 0 The No. 1 Lakers are headed to the MIAA Div. 2 final four after blanking the No. 9 Sachems. Delaney Moquin gets the shut out victory with 14 strikeouts. The Sachems season comes to an end, finishing with a 17-6 record.

Headed to the top of the 7th: Silver Lake 7, Middleboro 0 The Lakers get some insurance runs thanks to a 2-RBI double by Anna Kraft. Middleboro needing a big inning, down to its last 3 outs.

Taryn Clancy and the Sachems keep the Lakers off the board in the fifth, thanks to a pair of solid defensive plays to first on the left side of the diamond from Mackenzie Roberts and Leah Swift. Middleboro now trying to rally, down 5 in the top of the 6th.

Through 4 in Kingston: Silver Lake 5, Middleboro 0 The Sachems keep the deficit at 5 heading to the top of the 5th, getting three consecutive outs after Taryn Clancy allowed a lead-off walk. Top of the order due up for Middleboro.

After 3: Silver Lake 5, Middleboro 0 The Lakers open it up in the bottom of the third, scoring a pair of runs on defensive errors and an infield hit. Middleboro now tries to get a few back in the top of the 4th.
