The peaceful protest in downtown #STL has concluded. Thousands of people exercised their First Amendment rights today. There were no issues reported and no arrests were made. #SLMPD

The traffic light at skinker boulevard and lagoon drive across from forest park has been out since the tornado ripped through a week ago. I saw EMTs putting Band-Aids on a couple people involved in a crash there just now. #StLouis #tornadodamage

Today I zigzaged through uprooted centuries old trees, saw restaurants and buildings boarded up, sides of buildings gone, roofs gone, and people shoveling debris rocks, limbs, metal out of their yards. The air smelled burnt with all the power lines down.

In Missouri and Kentucky alone, tornadoes killed at least 25 people, officials said. The spring storm season has been a brutal one for the region.
