On Korean War Armistice Day, we remember the sacrifice of the Korean War veterans. Many thanks to the Korean American Association of Greater Pittsburgh for organizing a ceremony held at Pgh’s Korean War Memorial to honor both Americans and Koreans who fought for Korea’s freedom.

Franklin Park has a host of fun outdoor activities this summer. One event you'll want to make sure you check out is on August 5 from 6-8pm at the Municipal Building the borough will be hosting National Night Out, a chance to meet public safety employees that serve our community.

It's 7/25 and the minimum wage in PA is still just $7.25/hr. It's been 16 years since we've increased our minimum wage. It's time for the Senate to pass the House bill to raise PA's minimum wage now.

We continue our Parks and Rec series this time in Ohio Township. Ohio Township Community Park is a fantastic park with plenty of greenspace and sporting facilities for all ages to enjoy. It also hosts fun events such as Music and Movie in the park on July 31 & August 12.

Franklin Park Borough will host a public open house on the Home Rule Charter on Wed. July 30 at 7pm in the Meeting Room of the Municipal Building. They'll provide an overview of the charter and its potential impact on the community and give residents a chance to ask questions.
