Iryna Zarutska should still be alive. Her blood is on the hands of everyone who enabled this 14x career criminal to walk free. Today, I was proud to colead @RepStefanik's "Keep Violent Criminals Off Our Streets Act" to end cashless bail.

Americans voted for President Trump because they wanted to restore American strength on the world stage. Thank you, President Trump, for protecting American lives by stopping these drug traffickers and standing up to Maduro.

The House passed a final National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that includes recognition for the Lumbee. This is great news — but, we need it to pass the Senate so President Trump can sign it.

Charlotte saw a brutal stabbing by an illegal immigrant. Thanks to Irynas Law, he’s behind bars, but in other states, liberal judges let these criminals walk free. I introduced the Flight Risk Reduction Act to ensure illegal defendants are presumed flight risks & not released.

During this Christmas season, please keep our troops who are far from home in your prayers. Last weekend in Bahrain, I joined Chief Lott and Petty Officer Second Class Brown as they shared a special message for their families back home. We’re grateful for their service—and for

One of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen from the Charlotte City Council: Spending $3.4 million in taxpayer dollars to convince people the light rail is safe — instead of using that money to actually make it safe. Democrat logic hard at work here.
Last night, Charlotte City Council approved a $3.4 million contract with a Texas based PR firm to "enhance the public’s perception and use of public transit in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area."

Big news for Morganton: over $4 million in FEMA funding is on the way to rebuild two buildings at Catawba Meadows Park destroyed by Hurricane Helene. This brings total FEMA support for Western NC to over $1 billion, but there's still more work to do to build back stronger.

Gas is now under $3 in 37 states—and under $2.50 in five. The numbers don't lie: wages are rising, rent is falling, and consumer confidence is climbing. House Republicans and President Trump are reversing Bidenflation with lower taxes, cheaper energy, and real relief for

President Trump is right — we must stop illegal criminals from threatening innocent lives. This stabbing on the light rail, just months after the murder of Iryna Zarutska, was preventable. North Carolinians deserve better.

Eighty-four years ago today, America was attacked at Pearl Harbor. We remember those who gave their lives and those who answered the call to serve. We owe them a debt we can never fully repay, but today and every day, we honor their sacrifice and the legacy they left behind.

The top issue I hear about from folks back home is affordability. Families are paying over $16,000 a year in hidden regulatory costs. Small businesses? $14,700 per employee—just to comply with federal rules. This week, House Republicans are passing two bills to cut red tape:

The bill referenced is my Judicial Accountability for Public Safety Act, to ensure judges can be held civilly liable if a bond or sentencing decision is made with gross negligence. This would help fix our judicial system & protect innocent people. Thank you @elonmusk!

Tonight, our nation is mourning the loss of a true patriot — U.S. Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom of West Virginia, one of the National Guardsmen targeted in yesterday’s horrific attack in Washington, D.C. Please join me in praying for her family, friends, and fellow soldiers.

This morning, I took to the House Floor to honor the life and heroism of Gaston County EMS Paramedic Mary Jolly, who tragically passed away while helping others. Her courage and selflessness reflect the very best of our community.
