We must never forget that military force should always be a last resort, used only when necessary and with clear, lawful authority. The American people and our service members deserve transparency, accountability, and a full explanation of this administration's actions.

It puts American lives at risk and undermines the democratic process that must guide decisions of such magnitude.

The Constitution is clear. Decisions about war and peace belong to Congress. Unilateral military action, taken without Congressional approval or a full public debate, is dangerous.

As a State Representative and a proud armed forces service member, my top priority is the safety of Oregonians and the well-being of the service members who put their lives on the line.
