I believe @SarahEMcBride and @sullydish make solid points that should produce thoughtful debate not insults. Calling them names reinforces their arguments. We need this discussion.

Rest in peace @NitaLowey. All of us lucky enough to serve with her admired her intelligence, work ethic and wit. Her smile and laughter could light up any room. She was a fierce, principled fighter for the Hudson Valley and a true friend to me. May her memory be a blessing.

Today, Randy and I were thrilled to be at the White House as President Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act into law. It’s been a blessing to share my life with him for 30 years and a privilege to celebrate this historic moment together.

It’s clear that we can’t rely on SCOTUS to protect our rights. That’s why Congress has taken action to enshrine marriage equality into law. Today, I was proud to preside as the House voted to protect my marriage and so many others by passing the Respect for Marriage Act.

This is dangerous and calibrated. Trump and the Jew-hating nazis at this table are socializing a murderous pathology. See it clearly.

I'm devastated to hear the news about the passing of my colleague Rep. Donald McEachin. Randy and I send our prayers to the McEachin family and the people of Virginia as we all mourn this tremendous loss.

Randy and I were so thankful to join the Interfaith Prison Partnership, Sisters of St. Joseph, and Hour Children to spread some holiday joy and pass out meals at the Taconic Correctional Facility earlier this week.
