Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro has signed a declaration of disaster emergency ahead of a Saturday deadline that would freeze Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits until a federal budget is passed.

Because of the federal government shutdown, SNAP payments will not be paid November 1st. This list of food locations in Delaware County includes the names and locations of various organizations that can offer support for families in need and to support your neighbor.

Veterans have sacrificed so much to defend our country and way of life. I'm proud to give back with my annual Veterans Lunch at American Legion Post 926 in Aston Township. It's a small gesture but I'm happy to honor our heroes and connect them to available programs and resources.
