After serving w/@RepDennisBonnen I can attest to the type of leader he is & believe he’s a man of sincerity. His record of fighting for his constituents and the members of the #txlege House speaks for itself & I believe TX is better for it. A united House is capable of greatness.

The #txlege 86th session was full of wins for TX and SB2 is at the top of the list. Property tax reform was what the hardworking taxpayers in District 28 sent me to accomplish and I’m proud to have been a part of it w/ @RepDennisBonnen @Burrows4TX and my House/Senate colleagues.

Excited to be back w/ the #txlege Higher Ed Cmte this morning to lay out HB826 w/@GFColeman which would create a med school @UHouston. Texas ranks 47 out of 50 in primary care physician to population ratio. This med school would focus on underserved urban and rural communities.

Couldn’t be more proud of the work of all the #txlege Appropriations S/C chairs and all members of this great cmte. Thank you again @RepDennisBonnen for assembling a wonderful team! Today we are adopting more of the S/C recs and are one step closer to getting HB1 to the floor.

Quite a day! Morning press conference for #HB749 the tobacco 21 bill, school finance layout w/ @DanHuberty & my #txlege colleagues, and a meeting with @GovAbbott to talk pub ed funding and hurricane Harvey recovery and mitigation efforts.
