As the lead sponsor of this bill, I was moved to see so many mothers impacted by PPD at yesterday's hearing. Too often, postpartum depression goes undiagnosed & leads to devastating consequences for families. H.1294 takes a smarter approach. https://t.co/s2AvjPBFWv

Addiction is a health issue, not a moral failing. It’s why I testified today to remove outdated language related to SUD from our laws. Everyone in our state deserves a chance to heal, and this would mark an important step toward dignity in recovery. ➡️ https://t.co/64xk6uHPKf

Students deserve current and accurate information ― exactly why I testified in favor of the Healthy Youth Act today. This bill ensures that students who opt into health & sex-ed courses are taught a scientific, appropriate, and inclusive curriculum. ➡️ https://t.co/ciL0jT7H7R

As legislative hearings ramp up, my team and I have been busy at the State House. This week, I testified on bills that would expand insurance coverage, reform social work, increase financial assistance, and remove toxic chemicals from medical equipment in hospitals.

Today we celebrate the contributions, achievements and advocacy of workers across the country. While enjoying the day with family and friends, let us remember the commitment of laborers during the height of the Industrial Revolution who paved the way for today's national holiday.

For #OverdoseAwarenessWeek, I joined @umassmemorial in honoring those who lost their lives to an opioid-related overdose this past year. Thanks to investments in substance use prevention & treatment, Massachusetts experienced a 36% decrease in overdose deaths in 2024.

Just last month, the MA House approved bipartisan legislation to prevent the release of sensitive health data and codify emergency abortion care protections. People deserve to live peacefully with equal rights under the law in our state.

So many tireless advocates at the Disability Policy Consortium’s board meeting this evening. We spoke about access, inclusion, and the importance of my wheelchair repair bill (H1278). DPC’s members are fighters, and it was an honor to be invited as their keynote speaker.

It was a true honor to meet the only Hilltopper athlete ever to have their jersey retired, and I’m inspired by her impact on future generations of young athletes. Go Aliyah, and Go Fever!

Today, I joined Gov. Healey, Speaker Mariano, & Rep. Chris Worrell in welcoming WNBA player Aliyah Boston to the State House. Before she became an all-star for the Fever and a college phenom at South Carolina, Aliyah was a prodigy at my alma mater - Worcester Academy.
