One of the craziest and cruelest provisions of this bill is to add a new cost of care for low-income Americans. For someone making $400 a week, who is already struggling to pay their bills, they’ll now pay more for care — for every procedure. Awful.

They don’t have to do this. They don’t have to cut healthcare for 14 million people - or food assistance for millions more. Just fix the tax code - and have the folks at the top pay all of their taxes the same way the rest of us do. Fix the tax code and folks can keep their.
We’re now 12 hours into marking up the health title of E&C reconciliation bill. And almost at 24 hours since the mark-up began 2 pm yesterday. Dems have offered numerous amendments that would have stripped out various Medicaid measures/abortion funding ban & all have failed.

The only thing I know after 20 hours in @EnergyCommerce is that congressional Republicans are cutting $715 billion in Medicaid, $358 in ACA - and 14 million Americans will lose their healthcare. All to pay for tax cuts for the super wealthy.
