As Texans mourn the losses from this week's catastrophic floods in the Hill Country, today we also mark the first anniversary of Hurricane Beryl. Thinking of all those who are still recovering, and all those who help us prepare, respond, and recover each time disaster hits.

As our community grieves the loss of our friends and neighbors from here at home and across the state of Texas, we keep them and their families in our hearts.

My broken heart is with the families of those affected by the catastrophic and devastating flooding in the Hill Country, including the many in Houston. My team and I are monitoring the situation and trying to help in any way we can.
