I voted with 95 other members of the Ohio House on a bill that would make it easier for local police departments to fill vacancies. Our communities are safer when we have qualified, well-trained and well-staffed police departments.

Families in my district are impacted by the federal government's aggressive deportation activities. I was happy to co-host an Immigration Forum with State Sen. Casey Weinstein and Green Law Director Lisa Dean to share important information to businesses and families.

The highlight of my week was presenting an Ohio House of Representatives proclamation to the Tallmadge Blue Devils Wheelchair Basketball team for their back-to-back state championship wins and 17-0 record this season. What an inspiring group of student-athletes.

I’ve received over 2K emails regarding the Ohio GOP's efforts to cut library funding and relegate authors like Judy Blume to adult-only sections. I'll be speaking on the floor on Wednesday to protect our libraries and the books enjoyed by generations of readers.

We elected Sheriff Kandy Fatheree, the first woman sheriff in Summit County, in 2020 and re-elected her in 2024 – nearly 100 years after the first woman sheriff was elected in Ohio! Sheriff Fatheree oversees more than 500 deputies and civilian staff. #WomensHistoryMonth
