Today I addressed @HouseCommerce in support of my bill, the SOAR Act. This bipartisan bill improves access to lifesaving supplemental oxygen for Medicare patients, and I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues to get it over the finish line.

I want to congratulate @KernMedical on receiving the 2025 Quality Leaders Award by @CAPHSystems. Their new mobile health units have strengthened health outcomes across Kern County, and I'm proud to have helped them secure the HRSA grant that makes all their hard work possible.

For over 60 years, the NDAA has been a bipartisan commitment to our national defense, and I'm glad to see the House and Senate once again came together to get this critical bill over the finish line. Read More:

I just voted for the NDAA to ensure our military has the resources needed to keep Americans safe while delivering quality-of-life improvements for our servicemembers and their families. I'm also especially proud that key provisions of my bill, the SECURE IT Act, were included!

I was honored to receive @The_NHHF's Health Leadership Award. NHHF directly invests in the next generation of Hispanic healthcare workers, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work together to build a healthcare system that serves all Americans.

Our job market is changing, and workers need strong digital skills to keep up. That's why I'm proud to join @RepVindman and @SenTimKaine to reintroduce the bipartisan, bicameral Digital Skills for Today's Workforce Act.

I just met with @NCDgov and Bakersfield ARC to discuss how autonomous vehicles can help expand access to transportation for individuals with disabilities. I look forward to continuing to promote opportunities for independence within the disabled community.

I just met with Lindsay Unified School District's Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, Grant Schimelpfening. We discussed the importance of educational innovation and preparing students for the workforce. I look forward to our continued conversations!

I applaud the Department of the Interior’s Secretary’s Order 3446 to cut red tape and speed up vital water projects in Western states. This will help move Central Valley projects forward faster and strengthen long-term water reliability for our families, farms, and communities.
