I'm happy to see my team was able to attend the ribbon cutting for the new disc golf course at Lindsay City Park! This course offers a new fun, family-friendly way for residents to enjoy the outdoors and stay active.

This week, my team presented a congressional certificate at the ribbon cutting for Porterville Fire Department's new Dräger Training Tower. This facility will help ensure our firefighters are well-prepared and trained to keep our communities safe.

Through these agreements, funds would be used to purchase foods like meat, seafood, milk, cheese, eggs, fruit, and poultry. This is an effort that invests in our farmers and communities, and I'm proud to stand with my colleagues in support. Read more:

I'm proud to join @RepBresnahan, @chelliepingree, and @RepRileyNY to introduce the Local Farmers Feeding our Communities Act. This bipartisan bill connects our farmers directly with local families and food banks to deliver healthy, homegrown food where it's needed most.

Today, my staff presented a congressional certificate to Kebab City, a new Mediterranean restaurant in Hanford. It's always great to see new small businesses opening in CA-22, and I'm looking forward to their delicious contributions to our community.

My statement on Governor Newsom's attempt to disenfranchise California voters and overturn the independent redistricting commission:

This week we celebrated National Intern Day, and I wanted to thank my summer interns in Washington and my district offices for all their hard work serving CA-22! Their passion and dedication have made a real impact, and I know they will go on to do amazing things.

This project has been overfunded and grossly mismanaged from the start, and it’s past time we refocus our efforts and resources on infrastructure projects our region needs. Read more:

This week, I was proud to join @RepVinceFong in sending a letter to @USDOT, applauding the termination of funding for California's High-Speed Rail project and urging them to redirect recovered funds to critical infrastructure priorities in the Central Valley and across CA.

I'm glad to see the administration concluded their programmatic review of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers. These resources are crucial for CA-22 after school programs, and I urge them to release the remaining Department of Education funds.

High-speed rail has been an expensive failure with no viable path forward from the start, and I applaud DOT for refusing to keep funding this track to nowhere. Now we can finally shift focus to investing in infrastructure that actually benefits the Central Valley.

Americans deserve financial privacy, and it’s long past time we put real guardrails in place to protect that right. Today, I was proud to vote for 3 bills that reaffirm our commitment to free markets and individual freedom. Read more:

Maintaining access to healthcare is one of my top priorities, and a key reason I backed H.R. 1 is the administration's commitment to ensuring hospitals in CA-22 can continue providing essential care. I'll keep working with the President to get this funding where it's needed most.

I'm proud to join @RepMariaSalazar and @RepEscobar to reintroduce the Dignity Act. It’s past time for Congress to pass reasonable immigration reform that restores law and order while recognizing the contributions of undocumented immigrants who have built their lives here.

As a member of the FFA Caucus and an FFA alum, it was great meeting with the California FFA during this week's State Officer Summit. These bright, young leaders are the future of our agricultural industry, and I look forward to the positive impact they'll have one day.

I was proud to deliver remarks in support of my bill, H.R. 1044, which authorizes 7 permit renewals for the Kaweah Hydroelectric Project. Kaweah is a critical source of clean, reliable, and affordable energy for CA-22, and I look forward to voting YES on final House passage.

Bakersfield vets deserve a functioning VA clinic, and after years of lawsuits, the Kern County court ruling is a welcome update. Constructing this clinic is one of my top priorities, and I’ll continue doing everything I can to move this project forward.
