Great news from the Assembly floor today! We passed AB 38 — No Tax on Tips, giving hard-working, tip-earning Wisconsinites real tax relief and aligning our state tax code with new federal law. This is a win for workers, a win for families, and a win for common sense.

Wisconsin taxpayers shouldn’t fund salaries for judges suspended over criminal misconduct—plus the cost of a reserve judge. Proud to support AB 380 today to suspend pay for judges suspended for misconduct.

As we head into 2026 the priorities couldn't be more different. The Democrats: 400-year veto, raise property taxes & push policies that make Wisconsinites lives unaffordable. My Priorities: Reduced costs, additional tax cuts, & more affordable utility bills & housing expenses.

In the most recent state budget we allocated half a billion dollars for special education in Wisconsin - the highest increase in state history. On Friday, I joined the @DailyDodgeBD Community Comment with Terry Bell to discuss.

Here are the facts of the 400-year veto: - The State Legislature approved a 2 year increase in what school districts can collect. - Tony Evers used his partial veto to extend that spending to 2425. - For the next 400 years taxes will increase by $325/student/year 2/2

As Wisconsinites prepare for Christmas, an un-wanted gift from Governor Evers is arriving. Year one of the 400-year democrat property tax increase. With 399 more years of tax increases on the horizon, this is only the beginning of the hurt for families across the state. 1/2

AG Josh Kaul keeps making excuses, but the numbers don’t lie. The crime lab handled fewer cases in 2024 than 2023, yet DNA and toxicology turnaround times got worse. After 7 years, Wisconsinites deserve results, not delays. Kaul’s ‘top priority’ has become his biggest failure.

This report shows how DPI, once again, failed to meet critical goals. Only about a third of students reached expected reading or math levels. DPI continues to leave students fending for themselves. Unacceptable. https://t.co/QcsvahABGl

One class per semester. Just one. And apparently that’s asking way too much of UW professors. Must be exhausting. https://t.co/pWfGLAAKXy

Comparing Jill with a lame duck Governor is not a great look. DPI has failed to report over 200 sexual misconduct/ grooming cases. If her department is unwilling to disclose this information publicly, then she owes it to Wisconsin families to actually show up and answer why.

Back and forth in Wisconsin Joint Audit Committee on why Supt. Jill Underly isn't in attendance for financial audit hearing. "She’s an elected official. You don’t get the governor at every hearing, do you?" - Tom McCarthy, DPI Deputy State Supt.

When it comes to corrections facility reform, Wisconsinites deserve honesty. Once again, the Evers administration is playing politics instead of delivering an actual plan. Republicans in the Legislature stand ready to work toward a safer, more efficient correctional system.

Instead of doing her job, Jill Underly continues to sit on her hands. This inept leadership from Underly is leaving the State Legislature in the dark on how K-12 education funds are truly being utilized and leaving kids in its destructive wake. https://t.co/lW8L5WmI4L

Despite State Superintendent Underly’s attempt to manipulate test scores into appearing more favorable, our state’s results continue to be troubling. It’s why WI Republicans will continue fighting for improving the quality and accountability of education in our state.

Gov. Evers is blatantly wrong here. This federal tax credit — which doesn’t cost the Wisconsin taxpayers a penny — will benefit kids in all Wisconsin schools. Now, that money will flow to other states. https://t.co/N8UF7V2aEJ

The raises we included in the 2023-25 budget, and continued to support in the 2025-2027 budget through overtime pay, are critical to reducing staff vacancies and making our correctional facilities safer for both staff and inmates.

Fun Fact Friday: The Gov.'s budget proposal is more of the same--increasing the size of govt. & raising taxes to expand the bureaucracy. Today, Republicans took the first step to craft a reasonable, responsible budget. Wisconsin can't afford Gov. Evers. https://t.co/tmIeIjaXdY
