Buying a home is one of the most important - and expensive - purchases in a person's lifetime. That's why it's so important that we have additional licensure and oversight standards in place regarding home inspectors to ensure consumers are protected.

Scott Hirsh didn't deserve to die. In his memory and honor, I want to do all I can to ensure drivers are reminded to drivers to ‘MOVE OVER’ and slow down when they approach a disabled vehicle - it could save a life, including yours.

Hard-working election officials in our county are counting votes to make sure the people’s voice is heard. What can we do? Be patient -the election is not final until EVERY citizen’s vote is counted. It’s the American way.

President Trump has been trying to pre-emptively delegitimize ballots counted after Nov. 3. But states have always counted past election night.

Today is Election Day. If you decided to not drop your vote-by-mail ballot off at your county election office by 8 PM today & instead want to vote in-person, you have the right. Bring your ballot and both return envelopes, a mask, and some patience.

Halloween is today and I hope yours is a safe and happy celebration. Halloween night also means it’s time to turn our clocks back one hour before bed and don’t forget to check the batteries in your smoke & CO and replace them, if needed.

Senator Iovino’s guidance was critical to getting the language correct and it was a pleasure to work with the senator on this bi-partisan, bi-cameral effort to address this pressing issue.

While this law will not bring Scott back; it will provide consequences to drivers who fail to “Move Over” for a vehicle stopped on the side of a road.

I was very happy to work with Senator Pam Iovino on the amendment to SB 1281 which today was signed into law by Governor Wolf. The bill, as amended, will address the tragedy that occurred to our constituent, Scott Hirsch, while he was changing a flat tire along the interstate.
