Today I voted to support our allies and protect democracies around the world. The bills we passed fulfill requests made by President Biden last fall and include support for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and very importantly humanitarian crises in Gaza, Ukraine, Armenia, and Sudan.
As the only Member of Congress of Armenian-Assyrian descent, I rose today to commemorate Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, which will be observed next week by the Armenian community in the United States and around the world.
