I feel like a great number of apologists (wrongly) abuse entropy for their arguments. I don't see how entropy helps the religious case at all

Why don't people who place parlays just always bet against their favorite player? Like if they win then you lose some money but your favorite player won and if they lose then at least you win some money

I don't see why some Christians still think ECT is justifiable in any way Of course it's not. This response only makes it all the worse

Claims about logic I am skeptical of: That logic describes the "fundamental structure of reality itself." Or perhaps even further that logic is a fundamental constraint on reality? That logical truths don't need to be groundec in anything simpliciter That logic is normative

At first glance, I thought this was a fine example of polemics "premiss" being a play on words as "pre-miss" to mean that it was incorrect or was a "miss" but supossedly this is actually just another way to say "premise"

1. Everything is possible 2. The principle of S5 states that if something is possibly necessary then it is necessary 3. It is impossible for necessary things to not obtain 4. But it really is the case that everything is possible 5. So S5 is false I have defeated Alvin 🥱🥱

Regarding the cosmic history of the universe I am starting to become more unconvinced of arguments that the universe had a beginning

Alright I will put this another way: 1. Truth is *only* a property of sentences 2. Truth requires a conjunction of a truth-bearer (propositions) and truth-maker to obtain 3. Since propositions are not eternal, truth is not eternal, ergo there are no eternal truths

I am definitely of the view that there are no eternal truths. That is, there is nothing that has always been true A lot of people seem to disagree with this but I can't see why

Oh my goodness man Twitter just has the craziest moments On any random day you can see men claiming that their "happy" marriages aren't ideal because their partner is of a different ethnicity and/or race The next day you'll see Grok undressing women for gooners online

I am going to show why atheism is self-defeating. This argument was inspired by something I read on Substack 1. To subscribe to atheism, one must be an atheist 2. An atheist is a-theist 3. Therefore, all atheists are theists

Can someone please make it clear how/why logic is impossible without God? I don't see any reason to believe this
@9INE0hS8NT Many do not accept logical reasoning. I think the transcendental argument from God shows the absurdity of assuming logic without God. (The Christian triune God)

New Years day might be the most excellent start to the year, it was like a second Christmas for me. It's a shame the next semester will be starting soon 💔

It strikes me as odd when people bring up the fact that objects exist as an objection to truth relativism Truth is a property of sentences not a property of objects
