Finally after testing this when I got home, my setup actually feels noticeably laggier AND I started reproducing the exact same mistakes that I make on ps4. It's an especially punishing thing to deal with on bridget so I'm ecstatic to finally have an accurate setup.

I play with borderless + vsync for maximum lag, but even with that every single time I played offline without practice I get whiplash with how laggy ps4 feels, and I'd make mistakes I've never even seen in my life on PC. I don't have data but I assume vsync adds less lag in 144hz.

PSA: If you play Strive seriously in tournament, and you play on PC with a 144hz monitor, you NEED to set your monitor down to 60hz to get the proper input lag on PC to match PS4/5. Someone at my local told me about this and it FINALLY feels perfectly accurate to PS4 🥹.
