And yes, they did ask, but: A. did they check that no one else was in the photo? Everyone had their badges out, which says their Twitch usernames B. recognize that people not used to social interaction often say "yes" without really thinking when approached in public.

2. At the "Vtubing Community MeetUp", there is literally a sign outside it that says "No streaming in this area", but there was OFFICIAL Twitchcon staff asking to take photos inside. You can see how this issue is agnostic of the fact that it was VTubers.

AKA: Staff should never use their privilege to this info as a stepping off point for conversation. ESPECIALLY not in public. Ex. When I go to the doctor, the receptionist doesn't have an open conversation about how I'm the same age as their nephew who just started college.

1. At the Partner Party entrance, there was one man and two women checking IDs for drinking wristbands (I say that in the hopes Twitchcon staff can identify remove this person). The man then asked me "where in {X} are you from?". ID is for verification only, its confidential info
