As young #peacefellows , be cautious about how you use social media especially in this era of Artificial Intelligence. Use verification tools such as; advanced searches & geo-location, avoid being sensational in community engagements on #socialmedia, be aware of the algorithms.

We must be alive to the fact that there are many situations that impact consent and work through the layers when dealing with vulnarable people.

#Consent is a very important aspect in everything especially #socialmedia. When people are vulnerable, many times they wield less power because of their needs, so consent in these situations can be tricky. #Youth #socialmediadepolarisation #Trainingpeacefellows

As content creators, story tellers and writers, one of the things we should normalise is to tell our stories in a positive way. We are in the era of impact stories and so we have the opportunity to tell better stories. @AkelloMartha .#socialmediadepolarisation #disinformation

#Socialmedia when used constructively can have a positive impact in the society. I've used it to fundraise locally for the vulnerable people in my community in Arua city thanks to the fundraising skills from @refugeelawproj's training of peace fellows. #socialmediadepolarisation

As young people we have to challenge the #stereotypes we've internalised around who we are & where we come from. Holding onto these narratives, will make it harder for you to talk peace yet internally you still hold such views about certain people. #disinformation #socialmedia

#Disinformation affects the #MentalHealth of the victims. I represented Teso region for Miss Tourism Uganda but someone on #socialmedia spread wrong information that I am from S.Sudan. Even my Teso community didn't support me. I felt like resigning & taking back the crown.
