A High Streamflow Advisory has been issued for the Elbow River levels are rising or expected to rise rapidly, no major flooding is expected. Residents are advised to be cautious and stay away from the river until levels subside.

We were pleased to receive a grant from Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative in 2019 to support our work to cover costs of the signage. Look forward to seeing the completion and installation by the fall

Garbage will now be picked up on Mondays starting January 7th due to a switch to a new service provider.

Garbage collection change for the holidays . Switched to Wednesdays for the 26th of December and the 2nd of January.

Town Council passed our new Wildlife Bylaw last night, as well as the bylaw enforcement bylaw, third and final reading of the cannabis usage bylaw is to be read and passed at the council meeting on the 23rd at 7pm. residents wanting to provide input please contact the Townsite.

Fish and wildlife are working on trapping the black bear. Please respect the trap and area be cautious of leaving out pets and report sightings to the Townsite. Last night a bear got into someone’s garbage again Please this is now a public safety issue. Secure your garbage inside

the community continues to be frequented by a black bear. Due to some residents not abiding by the garbage bylaw. School starts next week and community children will be at bus stops in the mornings. Please be smart about leaving your garbage secure and indoors until garbage day
