Hot weather can be deadly for pets. The Red Cross warns: never leave pets in cars, avoid walking on hot pavement, and always provide shade + fresh water. Signs of heat stroke: heavy panting, red gums, weakness. Act fast—cool them down and call your vet.

Parts of North Carolina has seen a lot of rain lately! Some areas are experiencing flooding as a result. DYK: Just two feet of rushing water can carry away most vehicles, including SUVs and pickup trucks. Never walk, swim, or drive through flood water.
