When I launched Red Clay Educators, I shared the story of my grandfather and my first trip to Georgia as a child. I was drawn to Georgian soil with its distinct color and texture; its enduring presence on our clothes, in our food, on our skin.

Teach about the origins of Memorial Day, a commemoration to fallen soldiers started by Black people.  Teach about the incredible town of Greenwood and white rage that led to the Tulsa, Oklahoma Race Massacre. Teach about attempts to erase this history. (2/3)
