Please help. Yesterday while filming a doc about the underground exotic pet trade my Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K suddenly wouldn’t turn back on. This went on for about five minutes and then it came back to life. Now it’s seeming as if it’s taking an extremely long time to boot

I returned from the first day of production on a new documentary and told my wife all about what happened. Her response? “You’re full of shit.”. I believe this means I’m on the right path.

This is all the gear I’m bringing for the shoot today. 1 camera, an Easyrig, and 1 light. Sometimes not having a car to stuff full of gear seems like a good thing.

Almost universally, interviews come out better when you’re just hanging out w/ one camera and minimal / no artificial lighting than on proper sets with multiple cams, 2-3 lights, neg and all that. Have to ask yourself if you’re trying to impress Netflix or trying to tell a story.

While I’d be the first to admit that a battery is a strange thing to get excited about, I love these @SmallRigGlobal vlocks. They’re complete, all purpose batteries with 8v, 12v, USB-C, USB-A, and Dtap ports.
