Using R2BR resources as a guide, TN Technical Univ. faculty have designed assignments to increase candidates' literacy content knowledge, such as understanding text complexity and how to choose complex texts for students.

Over 200,000 books were provided to students participating in Read to be Ready summer programs across the state!

By offering students the opportunity to explore the world around them through hands-on field trips, students in R2BR summer programs are able to both utilize and strengthen their background knowledge—an important component of strong literacy.
