This past year was my 11th and final year covering for @MSHeartland_ as well as my last year at Ignatius. Before moving down south, I just wanted to express gratitude I had for many individuals in this space in this letter. Thank you all. https://t.co/Q9OHR98jXc

Isn’t it fitting this photo places him in one of his favorite spots on this planet, the 1st mile marker at Detweiller between the course and Rt 29? This is where I will always remember him standing, and I’ll never attend another Det meet without seeing him there in my minds eye.
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Mike Newman. To us, he was simply Mike. To countless others, he was Mr. Newman - a tireless voice for the sport he loved. From his passion for York High School cross country to his dedication in ensuring

The Girls’ accomplishments last fall earned them preseason National recognition. This is the first national ranking (#28) for ever boys or girls program ever. They also appear on the top returner list for teams in the NXR Midwest region. https://t.co/flkjKZS1Dy

-If this season was a success, then why would I or anyone else buy tickets to a 2026 meet and trust it will happen when one was cancelled? This year? -Many have said it already but this doesn’t feel like transparency at all. -How about apologize to those holding LA tickets?
We've have been and will be a league dedicated to transparency. Hear an update about today's announcement from @MJGold.

With @IHSA_IL head sheets for the Girls state track meet out, I have to wonder how we ended up with only 2 heats of all 3 distance races in 3A. 2 4x8 heats with 31 teams means H2 has 16 teams. I don’t think this is a good idea. Thoughts?
