Played in the August dual land tournament at The Gathering Place in Chapel Hill. Had a really solid day ending in second place with a record of 3-1-1. My only “loss” being because we split top 4 and gave the win to the homie @HellaLily13.

Top 4: Sat down in second seat against Kinnan, Rog/Thras and Kefka. Kept a second 7 that was a moderate start but had a turn 3 win with protection. I had to ponder whether to send it or remove a con sphinx first. Sent it. Got there. 5-2.

Top 16: Win! Second seat against Vivi, Kenrith and Rog/Thras. Had an explosive start and got a really lucky first flip into a Tyrant. Had protected win attempt after that. Into top 4. 4-2.

Round 5: loss. First seat against Scion of Ur Dragon, Kinnan and Zur. Played a really great game with a complicated stack battle that ended an hour after time was called. 3-2 going in to too 16.

Round 4: loss. Seat 2 against Dargo/Tymna, Sisay and Esika. Had to mull to 4 and lost to the other undefeated player who just had it. 3-1.

Round 3: Win!!! Seat 2 against Vivi, Tev/thras and Najeela. Kept a turn 1 fish into turn 3 uncounterable Tezzeret and got there. 3-0.

Round 2: Win! Second seat against Master of Keys, Thras/Vial and Lumra. Developed a lot of mana early and was on Kinnan flips and a prayer. Got a thrasios clone and was able to push a win through a ton of interaction. 2-0.

Round 1: Win! In third seat against Blue Farm, Shadow and Krark/Saka. Farm mulled into oblivion, seat 2 and 4 had known win attempts so I pushed on them 4 and got there.

Playing in the AGL Summerfest 10k today! Running it again with Kinnan.

Round 3- fourth seat again, against Terra, Urza and Meria. Got dogpiled on by every piece of hate that Kinnan cares about and lost to Urza after being the only one to interact with it. 1-2.

Round 2- fourth seat against Sisay, Blue Farm and Chulane. Got turn order’d and lost to Sisay on their turn 3. 1-1.

Round one: first seat against Rog/Thras, Gilgamesh and Winota. Was a grindy game and all 4 took turns being the threat. Ended up getting an instant speed win when the red player got greedy. Starting 1-0!.

Won in round 7. Went into top 16 after a 4 game win streak for 4-3-0. Unfortunately lost in top 16 but still so hyped I got to come to this event and perform as well as I did!.

Round 6- second seat against Bruse/Thras, Magda and Blue farm. Magda and farm mulled low and tapped out to try to build. Bruse/Thras tapped out to set up his win on his next turn so I was able to slam natural basalt on turn 3 with treasure vault. 3-3.

Round 5 yesterday was a really good game. First seat against Blue farm, TnT and Wheeliod. Got off to an oppressive start and was able to politic my way into maintaining my board state through an OBM. Win. 2-3.

Rounds 2 and 3 were rough. Not particularly bad playing but some bad beats that weren’t worth reporting. Round 4 in second seat against 3 non blue decks, drew the interaction for the deck presenting win and went off on my next turn. 1-3-0.
