Witnessing these perspectives is crazy to me because I genuinely thought we unlearned this after like high school. Like, I love being dolled up too, but being natural should not bring out insecurities.
I notice anything that is “natural” gives you women unkept. Nails not done? Unkept. Hair not done? Unkept and look like a man. Natural eyelashes ? Unkept . Are y’all okay?.

Idk, me, personally, if I know what you *meant* even if the verbiage wasn’t exactly correct, I’ma skate over it. Reading between the lines really isn’t this herculean feat that people make it out to be.
i think black women need better language to communicate that in society we are over run and worked so having a partner who lightens that burden/feeling is appreciated and desirable versus saying they finally make you feel feminine.
