At a high level- yes. However, this 'thesis' is only half of the story. Billions 'of dollars of TradFi assets' are not simply going to move on chain for the mere sake of being trendy.
The winning RWA platforms will allow institutions to unlock new liquidity + move/custody it
The RWA thesis is so simple: billions, or even trillions, of dollars of TradFi assets are going to move on-chain.
Meanwhile the market cap of the entire RWA industry is less than $6B.

VASPs need to be regulated to 'protect' investors and prevent money laundering. How you choose to interpret the 'need' for regulation is a moot point. All you need to know is that they are inevitable, and coming as soon as June 2024 for EU markets. DeXes, we have a problem.

Currently, there is one VASP license that trumps them all- the Virtual Financial Assets License (VFA). Issued by the Malta Financial Service Authority (MFSA), this is a global VASP license that allows for regulated value transfer anywhere in the world.

Well cousin, Chintai has 2 licenses. The most notable is the Capital Markets Service License (CMS) that is issued by the MAS. This allows them to offer securities investments. In essence, they have the same credential as other Singaporean stock brokers.

Come June 2024, EU participants will be subject to MiCA regulations (June 2024). This will raise the bar collectively for VASPs in Europe and send DeXes into a frenzy to seek compliance/stay operable. Moreover, these regs will raise the bar for all EU VASPs.
