Also the fact that people like this do still exist in some form, but those gimmick accounts and people of the like don’t actually care or appreciate art enough to find them.

let's be real, michelangelo was paid around US$600,000 (in today's money) for the sistine chapel, the pope had to beg him to do it, and it took him over five years because he ran away *at least* twice to have an artistic meltdown
he was *not* expected to to hold down another job
How is it that one person can produce all of this?
That person lived 500 years ago — so why hasn't humanity produced another talent like him in all the time since? 🧵

This! I'm more looking at palaeoart, and we have wonderful artists among it, but these "back then everything was better" guys wouldn't look at them. And surely it's similar with other art.
