I am so grateful for the amazing work @climurphy has done advocating for pregnant women to have the choice of and access to vaccination against Covid 19. I had my first dose at 36 weeks and got the exciting text this morning confirming my second dose this week.

I can’t quite put in to words my love, respect and gratitude for the midwives and health care assistants who looked after Ailbhe and I in the @CoombeHospital. Always there to reassure, support and care for us outside of Pádraic’s allocated 3 hour “visitor” time.

My care in the @CoombeHospital has been a really lovely mammy and baby focused experience and I can’t thank enough @climurphy, Hugh O’Connor, labour midwife Barbara, and post natal angels Egla and Sarah for all they did for me.

Pandemic pregnancy was not easy. Pádraic did not attend a single scan or appointment in the Coombe. Instead he patiently waited in the car for a post appointment debrief. I am very grateful to the work Women Ascend and many others are doing to highlight maternity restrictions.

Highlights chatting with Rang 3 this morning included family picnics in the sunshine, lockdown birthdays, waving at granny through the window, someone’s new pet goldfish, some new hair cuts, excitement that I had posted them maths work. .
