@that_gear @boxertrunks Wrestlers are often encouraged to wear something under their singlet. Some are super lightweight material or they've just been reused a few hundred times and the extra layer keeps everything in place. It the quality is good you can get away with going bare

@that_gear They make a brief just for wrestling, its the same material as the singlet and cut like a speedo but a little more generous

@that_gear But at tournaments you often have to change in public so its easier to wear a base later than wait an hour to use the 1 bathroom for a gymnasium full of people. HS rules changed to support co ed weigh in. Boys can't wear jockstraps, the but has to be covered
