Growing old is tailor-made for denial, writes columnist Danny Westneat. Who doesn't want to believe you've still got it? But some past politicians have faced up to the existential question of how old is too old.

Democrats have found themselves in the worst state possible. And I'm not talking about Texas or Florida. I'm talking about the state of denial. Nobody in their right mind is going to vote for Joe Biden. I hope Dems have a plan in place for when Donald Trump is elected.

I asked ChatGPT to review "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" as @NewYorker critic Richard Brody @tnyfrontrow. >> '"Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" is not just a bad film; it is ... a black hole of talent and taste from which not even the faintest glimmer of merit can escape.'

The last rock song to hit No. 1 happened in 2001. I, as a Gen-Xer who transitioned through Led Zeppelin, Journey and Nirvana, have been wondering ever since why rock 'n' roll died. This article gives the answer.

The front page of tomorrow's @dailytarheel – I shed many tears while typing up these heart-wrenching text messages sent and received by UNC students yesterday. Our campus was on lockdown for more than three hours. Beyond proud of this cover and the team behind it.

I read Martin Amis’ “London Fields” in 1995. I don’t remember, but I must have wandered into it in a used bookstore. A fortunate thing, because it’s still the best novel I’ve ever read.

This gets at why I find the world so jarring anymore. The digital generation defines culture as “the volume of outrage or the success of a joke,” while I prefer a more traditional view: “Culture is beauty and intelligence.”
