The lovely people at @HaynesMuseum have sent a wonderful thank you present. The book is fascinating, what a life! I hope to help with their education outreach project next year, the Haynes charity is doing some very good work. I'd highly recommend a visit to the museum too!

My first interest was Robotics before I got into cars. I've been following these developments, I really don't think politicians know how much this will change the world over the next decade.
🚨 USA and China aren’t just building robots… They’re teaching them to fight, film, cook, some of this looks straight out of sci-fi. Here are 9 real examples you won’t believe exist: 👇🧵 1. Helix is walking (without cameras) 🇺🇸 https://t.co/Z6uw1zPi5y

Haynes holds a special place for me, my first car back in '86 was 'spares or repair', the engine in bits, I was 17 with no money. So I bought a Haynes manual and read how to build an engine. I’m on stage at the John Haynes Classic, hope to see you there https://t.co/in951vzRdA

We're trying out a new course, hopefully people are interested in repairing stuff rather than throwing away and replacing. Time will tell.
Learn to 'strip down', inspect, rebuild and test an alternator and starter motor. Get hands on with our 1 day course running Tuesday 5th August, £400 + VAT. Contact info@rhel.co.uk #AlternatorRepair #StarterMotor #HandsOnTraining #MechanicSkills #CarMaintenance #VehicleRepair

To be clear, the technology and commercial opportunities from Net Zero are huge. This is a massive opportunity for UK businesses, we're developing power walls and new EV propulsion systems using UK made parts. Anyone against Net Zero either doesn't understand or hates business.

Had a little visitor to the workshop, seemed a bit tired so I helped move it somewhere more suitable.

Why Net Zero is the opportunity we're in danger of loosing https://t.co/mdOjAwmYnA

There's a lot of nonsense talked about 'Net Zero', and this is in danger of causing not only environmental harm but economic harm too. First of all, despite what you may hear on social media, there...

More good news.
🇬🇧 🇺🇸 UK-US trade deal Mike Hawes, SMMT Chief Executive, said, "This is great news for the UK automotive industry, helping the sector avoid the severest level of tariffs and enabling many manufacturers to resume deliveries imminently..." Continues: https://t.co/PffHQW7mUd

Why do skills matter? Here's your answer
Why do practical skills matter? Having practical skills also connects us to the real world, there's a sense of achievement in mastering even fairly basic skills. It's also good for your independence and self confidence, being able to fix things yourself is a great feeling.

Extreme politics always leads to division, hatred, fear and violence A repeating pattern through history It never ends, with power an ideology divides more, supporters gradually fall victim to it's insatiable need to divide, expell, punish and humiliate anyone seen as 'other'
